12% of water fixtures at PSD schools exceed state lead standards in early testing

Communications sent to parents can be alarming.

There’s lead in the water at your child’s school, read the emails.

Poudre School District has notified students, staff and families at 16 schools that lead levels exceeding state health and safety guidelines have been found in one or more fixtures that can be used for drinking water. Eighteen schools have been checked and received results so far.

As a result, those fixtures have been shut off until they can be tested and, if necessary, filtered, repaired or replaced to reduce the levels of lead in the water they supply.

Stellantis Tops Forecasts in H2, Launches 1.5 Billion Euro Share Buy-Back

MILAN (Reuters) -Carmaker Stellantis on Wednesday reported a forecast-beating 17% rise in operating profit in the second half of last year on a strong product and pricing mix, despite persistent issues with logistics and semiconductor supply.

Atrium Health site down after Killnet hacking threat

Atrium Health’s website experienced outages Monday afternoon as a Russian hacking group shared a threat against the Charlotte-based health care system and other US groups.

The company’s “hospital systems and patient portals” weren’t affected, Atrium said.

Killnet listed Atrium Health’s Cabarrus County location in a post on the social media platform Telegram along with more than a dozen other hospital systems, Observer news partner WSOC reported.

Killnet is a pro-Russian hacking group known for its cyberattacks, primarily on European governments and infrastructure. They commonly use “denial of service” attacks to disrupt business, Politico previously reported.
