In November 2011, the Herta and Paul Amir Building on the western facet of the museum opened. It homes an Israeli Architecture Archive, and a new section of Photography and Visual arts. The new wing houses 18,500 sq. toes of gallery space over five floors. Curator Nehama Guralnik started working on the museum in 1971, when French was the widespread Museum of Art language amongst employees, together with the director, directors and the curators, and catalogues have been printed in French and in Hebrew, with English introduced later that decade. Guralnik curated more than 40 exhibitions during her 34-year tenure as worldwide art curator.

The Museum displays Vietnam’s fine arts from the Ancient time until the Modern time. Much of the twentieth Century art presented in the museum is worried with folk narratives of a nation in defence. As a group it draws on themes of martyrdom, patriotism, military strategy and overcoming enemy incursion. Engagement with art is on the heart of every thing we do, and our calendar of events provides innovative art experiences for guests of all ages, together with family-friendly applications, thought-provoking talks and conversations, inspiring concerts and movies, and extra.
